A wonderful moist bread that brings them back for seconds. Add your favorites, nuts, chocolate chips or raisins for a different flavour. This recipe was handed down to me from my mother who used it for years.

Wonderful bread! I made half the recipe for 2 beautiful loaves of bread. With one I had no additions to the batter but with the 2nd loaf I used some mini chocolate chips in the batter! This turned out perfectly!!! Made for the Spring '09 Pick A Chef Event!

We love banana bread, and I had plenty of bananas to use up. This is a terrific recipe! I used whole wheat pastry flour, and subbed applesauce for 1/2 the oil and it came out just great! Thanks for posting your Mom's recipe! Made for Spring PAC 2009
