Tasty Crock Pot BBQ Country Style Pork Ribs

Recipe #60052 | 5½ hours | 25 min prep | add private note

By: Poor George Kinzy
Apr 17, 2003

I love BBQ and I love easy. I put this together by trying others, mixing and matching, adding my own taste and here it is.

SERVES 6 , 4 Big Eaters (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
While I boil the pork for 20-30 minutes to decrease fat, I mix all other ingredients together in a large enough bowl and stir to mix well.
  2. 2
Put pork in the crock pot, adding sauce as you go, until you get to about an inch from the top.
  3. 3
Use as much sauce as you can as it will be needed later to put over the rice.
  4. 4
With a big spoon, give a stir to blend all together.
  5. 5
Put on the lid, turn on high and let it cook for about 5 hours.
  6. 6
After that, you may want to keep it a little longer on low to keep it hot.
  7. 7
Serve this with some white rice, baked beans (or just pork& beans), cole slaw and some toasted garlic bread and you have yourself a meal.
  8. 8
Be sure to use lots of the sauce over the pork and rice.

Very tasty....it really needed no adjustment for my family. They loved it and we had left overs for the next day.

Terrific! I didn't have any celery but had celery flakes and I left out the tomatoes. I pre-boiled them as you said...excellent tip. My husband liked the touch of heat and the sweetness combined. This recipe is now a part of my regular menus. Thanks

OK, I just have two words to say about this recipe, KEEE PER! I made this after lunch yesterday and by 5:30 had a delicious dinner waiting. Everyone loved it. I served red beans and rice and broccoli with it. Thanks, for a great crock pot recipe.

DH said this is a solid 5 or more!! The sauce is delicious and the left over will be frozen and used over pasta, a real bonus! I use Kansas city smoky bbq sauce and added 1 chopped jalepeno. We will be making this one again, such wonderful taste and fall off the bone tender meat. Thanks for sharing a real keeper!!
