Tandoori Chicken Burgers With Creamy Chutney

Tasty chicken burgers with mango and yoghurt chutney.
6 patties
Ingredients
BURGER
- 800 g ground chicken
- 1 cup fresh white breadcrumbs
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 2 tablespoons yoghurt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tablespoon parsley, finely chopped
CREAMY CHUTNEY
- 1/3 cup mango chutney
- 2 tablespoons yoghurt
Directions

Place all burger ingredients in a large bowl and combine thoroughly.2
Divide and shape into 6 patties.3
Refrigerate while you make creamy chutney.4
Combine 1/3 cup mango chutney and 2 T yoghurt together, refrigerate until required.5
Heat frypan or grill and brush lightly with oil.6
Cook patties over medium-high heat for 6-7 minutes each side or until cooked through, turning only once.7
Serve with Creamy Chutney either alone or with your favourite burger bun.

Really good burgers thanks Jules. Moist and flavoursome, and easy to make. We added salt, as I think it brings curry flavour out, and next time would replace the parsley with coriander (cilantro) or mint to go along with the curry theme. Don't make these without making the chutney/yoghurt sauce, it really makes the dish complete.

These are excellent!! The burger turned out full of flavour and very moist and the creamy chutney was delicious. I was not sure we would like that, but I mixed a combo of sweet and hot and spicy mango chutney with the yogurt and just about everyone kept saying how much they loved the sauce, it was a really nice finish to the burger. I made as is except I did not add any breadcrumbs. This was only because I had to blend whole chicken breasts as I could not get chicken mince, they held their shape well and I thought they would be a little dry adding the breadcrumbs. These will definitely go on my make often list, they are gorgeous tasting with just the right spice combination and are really quick to make as well (BONUS). A Super Fab post Jewelies!!!
