Grilled tomatoes. From Egyptian Cooking: A Practical Guide. A very simple recipe posted for ZWT 3.

    Wash, dry, then halve tomatoes.

    Arrange in greased oven pan, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and dot with butter.

These are tasty but probably needs to be upped more by adding other seasonings/spices. I'll do that next time.

    Yum! Added a little parmasan just because I like it — broiled on low for a few minutes. Will take other advice and add a little extra spices next time!

    These were a great go along with grilled steaks tonight. I didn't use salt and pepper though. Instead I sprinkled them with Montreal Steak Spice and just grilled them for about 3 mins because the tomatoes were small. The Steak Spice really brought them to life and edged them up to top marks coupled with the ease of preparation.

    Sorry - my first attempt to post here didn't take. These are tasty - but I agree and do tend to like a bit, more spice so I also added a little of my favorite herbs to them after trying them. I suggest tasting them first so youknow the original flavor. ZWT3 recipe.
