An excellent seasoning! No long chemical names, no mystery preservatives, and an excellent flavor. Thank you so much for saving me from prepackaged seasonings.

so glad i found this recipe. just like everyone else, i'll never buy a packet of taco seasoning again. this was perfect for my ground beef, which i paired with some egg noodles, lettuce and cheddar cheese to make a "taco bowl" (as i made up on the spot). thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! you saved dinner!

This was the closest to the Ortega brand we use and like so well. I used a whole clove of garlic. It was a bit hot for my youngest so will have to tone it done just a bit. But this is definitely the seasoning I'll use from now on.

Excellent taco meat mix! Even better than the store-bought packet! I mixed up the spices in a small bowl and set it aside then I browned and drained 1 lb. of meat, added the spices (the whole recipe) and about 1/2 cup water and cooked and stirred until the liquid was evaporated. I also added a few tablespoons of tomato puree which added another layer of tomato flavor but it wasn't necessary - this taco seasoning blend stands very nicely on it's own! Thanks Barbara!
