delicious alternitave to regular tacos. I adapted this from a Pampered Chef recipe.

SERVES 6 , 12 slices (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
cook ground beef and chopped onion in a large skillet. Drain excess fat.
  2. 2
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl combine beef, onion, seasoning mix, cheese, and water.
  3. 3
unroll cresent dough; separate into triangles. Arrange triangles in a circle on 13" baking stone or pizza pan with wide ends overlapping in center and points of triangles toward outside. There should be a five inch diameter opening in the center.
  4. 4
Scoop meat mixture evenly onto widest end of each triangle. Bring points of triangles up over filling and tuck under wide ends of dough at center of ring. (filling will not be completely covered)
  5. 5
Bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. 6
cut off top of bell pepper. Discard top, membranes, and seeds. Fill pepper with salsa. Shred lettuce and chop tomato, and slice olives.
  7. 7
Place bell pepper in center of ring; arrange lettuce, tomato, and olives around pepper.
  8. 8
    slice ring to serve.

This was really good. Like the other reviewer I only had 2 cans of rolls. The only other thing I did differently was put the green pepper with the ground beef while browning it. Hubby likes it that way. I will definitely be making this again. Quick & easy!

This is delicious. I only had to use 2 cans of the crescent rolls and it turned out beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

make this quite often- if I'm short on cans of rolls- I will make pockets instead of the ring. 1 can usually makes 4 pockets which is enough for DH and I. Also leave out the bell pepper out of preference.
