Taco Layer Dip

Recipe #257182 | 20 min | 20 min prep | add private note

A tasty recipe I got at a party. I am not a fan of refried beans in my layer dip, so I absolutely love this version. I've also substituted 2 cups of Mexican blend cheese for the cheddar and Monterey Jack before- yum! Also- cook/prep time does not include chill time before serving.

SERVES 14 -16 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Combine guacamole with 2 tablespoons mayonnaise and layer into the bottom of a 9 x 13" pan.
  2. 2
Mix sour cream, 4 tablespoons mayonnaise, and taco seasoning and spread on top of guacamole layer.
  3. 3
Sprinkle cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese on top.
  4. 4
Combine tomatoes, green onions, and green chilies and layer over all.
  5. 5
(Thanks to A Good Thing for reminding me) Allow the dip to chill before serving, about an hour should do.

Made for Potluck Tag. This was a yummy dip. I'm not a big fan of of dips with beans, but do love guacamole and this fit the bill. This was gone in no time. Thanks for posting this Starry!

Completely delightful and completely devoured in only a matter of minutes! Fantastically easy and tasty. Made for PAC Spring 2009. Great little snack here. I do recommend letting it chill in the fridge for an hour or so before serving.
