This is always one of the first things to disappear during parties! (If you use the egg substitute and no butter it won't be as crispy, but will be low fat.)

1 platter (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
    Heat oven to 375.
  2. 2
Mix crumbs, taco seasonings and butter.
  3. 3
Dip nuggets into egg, then into crumbs, coating evenly.
  4. 4
Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake 10-15 minutes til chicken is done and coating is crisp.
  5. 5
Serve with Picante Sauce for dipping.

Easy and delicious. I made these for dinner and my family enjoyed them. I only had Italian Bread Crumbs, it was good and just added a smaller amount more of seasoning. Thanks for the recipe.

Nice nuggets - I left the butter out also, but added a spoonful of olive oil with the egg. My taco seasoning didn't have any salt in it so I also added that separately. Good stuff.

What a great idea, the taco seasoning!! i used the egg and left the butter out, they were wonderfull and crisp. You were right they did disappear very quickly, served them as suggested with a medium picante sauce. will certainly do these again, thanks for sharing Junebug!!
