THE BEST Peanut butter oatmeal cookies

The oatmeal makes all the difference. These are the VERY BEST! They vanish quickly.

24 cookies (change servings and units)

    In large bowl mix the butter, shortning, sugars and peanut butter.

    Add eggs one at a time.
  3. 3
    Blend flour, soda and salt then add to sugar mixture.
  4. 4
    Then add oats.
  5. 5
    Form into 1 1/2 inch balls (no need to press with fork like usual) These come out perfectly round Bake 350 degrees for 12 minutes.

Really yummy! However, I had to bake mine about 3-4 minutes longer. Otherwise don't change a thing.

    I like the texture of these cookies. Slightly crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. These didn't flatten out for me so the 2nd batch I had to flatten them with a fork a bit. These are very sweet even with the brown sugar reduced to 3/4 cup. I also think they are too salty. So, I would reduce the salty to 1/2 teaspoon the next time..Thanks for sharing the recipe.

    I was looking for a chewy, peanut buttery treat. These really hit the spot. I used the exact ingredients and measures as listed in the recipe. Please, don't change a thing.
