Tried it yesterday for a quick dip and loved it. I did use gruyere as it is like swiss but a bit nuttier and not as greasy. It was all gone which was a good sign and I completely enjoyed it. I used a combo of some crackers and some thin toasted baguettes. I'll definitely make it again.

This was nice, but I kept feeling like something was missing. It is VERY rich in taste and kind of greasy. I served it with wheat thins and it was okay. Just not as good, for us, as some of the reviews said.

I made this for our housewarming party and recieved more compliments on it than anything I have ever made! In fact, my husbands entire family stood around the counter gorging on it and barely had room for dinner. They have asked that I bring it to all family functions! I used chive cream cheese, as its what I had. I also used smoked apple flavored swiss and plain almond slivers. It was EXCELLENT!!!

This dip is wonderful. I couldn't find smoked almonds (I am not sure if they make them) but I just added some liquid smoke flavoring to almonds and it worked wonderfully. I made this for Thanksgiving and I will be making it again for Christmas. Thanks!
