Very delicious! I made it for Christmas dinner at my fiance's mom's house- she had never tried it (yams) before, and she loved it! I didn't put in as many marshmallows though.
Thank you.

This was great! I made this for Thanksgiving. I used fresh sweet potatoes and quadrupled the recipe and it was a hit. I did add in some vanilla extract as well and a pinch of nutmeg. This was easy and a success for my first hosted Thanksgiving dinner!

Excellent! I made this for my company Christmas potluck lunch and it was a hit. I used real sweet potatoes (instead of a can). This recipe requires about 2-3 med/large size sweet potatoes (about 2.5 lbs). Bake them in the oven for 1 hour 20 min (turn them over at about half-time and poke holes in them with a knife at this point so they don't explode. This is much easier than poking holes in the raw sweet potatoes). When done baking, let them cool down, and simply pull off their skins. Now put the sweet potatoes and the ingredients mentioned above in a pot over med/low heat and mash away. Then continue with this recipe. Finally, I also only used a top layer of marshmallows (no middle layer) to keep it from getting too sweet. This is a great recipe! Easy and very tasty. Thanks!

Perfect! I really like this recipe because it wasn't overpoweringly sweet. I looked and it calls for less sugar than a lot of other recipes so I think it is superior in that matter. My can was only 30 oz. so I cut back accordingly on everything else. I only had casserole dishes that were way too big or a little too small. I went with the smaller one and it worked fine, until I tried to put too many marshmallows on top for the final baking period...oops! It looked messy but it sure tasted good! A keeper!
