I thought this saying may be helpful regarding how many strawberries in a pint "A pint's a pound the world around". Some will disagree but this is my story and I am sticking to it.

This recipe is identical to the one my mom has made for years, which our family loves. It also works fantastic with fresh peaches or raspberries, just substitute peach or raspberry Jello powder for the strawberry.

This is delicious. I used fresh strawberries that wern't very sweet, and this pie sweetend them nicely. When berries are sweeter this summer, I will use less sugar. Made in a graham cracker crust and topped with lots of whipped cream. Perfect.
