Stove-Top Macaroni and Cheese (Ww)

Recipe #343880 | 15 min | 5 min prep | add private note

We enjoyed this easy and delicious macaroni and cheese. If following the WW plan it is only 6 pts/serving. When I made it I used whole wheat elbow macaroni and a combination of Kraft 2%sharp cheddar and some WW Mexican blend cheese. If you start the cheese sauce while the pasta is cooking everything will be done at the same time — so quick and so easy! Recipe source: www.weightwatchers.com

Ellie, I was really impressed by this recipe. I used whole grain macaroni and made the recipe as directed, except I forgot the hot sauce. My daughter and I both thought it was too good to be a healthy dish. Thanks for a great recipe to fit with my diet.

Very good recipe, ellie. I loved it! Made it as posted, as is my usual method. I may add some garlic powder, and I will also omit the salt, next time to even further lower the sodium content. I will also reduce by half as it makes quite a bit for a single senior. Thanks for posting a great and quick recipe.

I am giving this recipe five stars because it is a very easy and quick dish to make, perfect for a busy night or weekend. Also because I goofed and it was not the fault of the recipe, I think this would be tasty and it is a healthier mac and cheese. Thinking I didnt get my milk and flour mixture to a good enough boil because it really only tasted like warm milk and onion powder. I only used cheddar cheese and maybe a blend would have been better. No worries though, my DH loves cheeseburger macaroni so I will work with it tomorrow night and he will have supper. Thank you ellie_ for posting this recipe, I will give it a try again later. Made and reviewed for the Zaar Tag Game.
