This is a very good hot beverage. I used leftover coffee (about 1 cup) from the pot this morning and heated it with the other ingredients in the saucepan. Has a great flavor without being overly sweet. I did use 1 cup of 1% milk with this recipe too and it worked out great! Sprinkled with a topping of cocoa too with a dollop of whipped cream...looked very pretty. Tagged in Gimme 5 Tag Game.

This is GREAT! I don't usually like hot chocolate made with milk but the coffee flavor helps mask the hot milk taste. I didn't realize I was supposed to use actual coffee grounds until after I used instant decaf and then I read "strain" and thought huh? and then re-read the ingredients...anyways I'm glad I did use the instant because it had a great flavor and no straining required! Made for 1-2-3 hit wonders. *I forgot to say that I used 1% milk and 1 tbsp of Splenda brown sugar blend.

This was a great way to have a low-fat mocha at home! It tasted almost like the coffee shop varieties. A very rich treat...almost not sugary enough for me though. I used instant decaf coffee only because it's night time and I didn't have any ground decaf around. I read a review of this recipe and just had to make it pronto.
