I used a little less oil, but otherwise made according to the recipe. I marinated 2 London Broil steaks and they were tender, juicy and really flavorful right off the grill! My family requested them for Sunday dinner, so guess what were having!

I gave this marinade a try because I had just bought some steak and thought I'd try something different. Very easy marinade to prepare and I had all ingredients on hand. I soaked my steaks in a zip lock bag for 28 hours in fridge. I grilled them and it smelled good cooking, but when I ate my steak, I could barely tell that they were marinated. The meat was tender, but lacked the flavors I was prepared to taste. I'm not sure why this happened but it seemed like a waste of effort to make this marinade if I wasn't going to taste it in the end. I did not use the extra marinade in the bag to baste the steaks with when they were cooking on the grill. I could either try that next time or double the marinade recipe and really let 'em soak!

I omitted the salt and replaced it with lemon pepper, and I used Port wine instead of red wine because I think it has a heartier flavour. I marinated a couple of cheap steaks for about 16 hours, broiled them today, and they were delicious. First class marinade, Art - thanks for posting!

This was simply wonderful. I think next time I make it I will marinate overnight, because the flavor is so wonderful I want it to really soak into the meat. The flavors blend together so well; its just perfect and so simple to throw together. Thanks so much Art!
