Southern Macaroni and Cheese

This recipe came from a little lady from the south named Paula. This dish has spoiled my family so much that they no longer prefer the box macaroni and cheese. It's definitely a keeper in our home. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

SERVES 8 -10 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Drain macaroni.
  2. 2
    While hot add 1 1/2 cup cheese.
  3. 3
    In a separate container mix all other ingredients.
  4. 4
    Pour macaroni and cheese in a casserole dish.
  5. 5
    Pour all remaining ingredients over mac and cheese; give a good stir.
  6. 6
    Top with cheddar cheese to your liking.
  7. 7
    Bake for about 30 to 40 minutes in a 350° oven.
  8. 8
    Enjoy!

    This was good although I preferred to add more cheese than the recipe called for. It's kind of like cheesy macaroni with sauce on it - next time I'll add some cheese to the sauce mixture too.
