This looks yummy (and very sweet!) Found on the web.

4 slices (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Mix sugar and cinnamon and set aside.
  2. 2
Heat grill or frying pan over medium-high heat.
  3. 3
In a small bowl, whisk milk, eggs, salt and vanilla. Pour into a flat dish that is large enough to dip bread slices into.
  4. 4
Dip bread slices in egg mixture and poke with a fork a few times to ensure custard gets all the way through.
  5. 5
Sprinkle one side generously with cinnamon sugar and place this side face down in lightly greased, preheated pan.
  6. 6
Sprinkle the top side of the french toast generously with cinnamon sugar. Cook until bottom is browned, then flip and cook through until toast is slightly firm and no longer wet.

This was a nice change for french toast with directions that were easy to follow. I did not poke the bread with a fork and I omitted the salt. We served these with a small amount of butter on top. The whole family enjoyed the recipe and we'll be adding this in to our "breakfast for dinner" rotation for future use. Thank you for posting the idea!

Very tasty! The entire family thought it was the best breakfast for dinner night we'd had in a long time.

I made this for my BF for breakfast this morning and he loved it... I didn't have enough milk so I added in a little whipping cream. I am sure it just added to the richness... LOL I usually just add in a little cinnamon to the egg mixture, but adding to the toast itself really added some crunch that he loved. Thanks for an easy breakfast tsure to please anyone!

This was good!! The french toast did taste like a snickerdoodle cookie. It was easy and quick to make. Has ingredients I usually have on hand. I will be making this again. Especially for kids. Thanks for sharing your recipe iewe made for PAC Spring '08
