Yummy! I didn't use any bacon because I rarely use it in my cooking but I added half a cup of white wine in the sauce. Turned out perfect!

The pork chops came out very tender, but my DH and I did not care for the taste of the sauce.

Yum! Yum! Yum! This tastes a bit like a much better version of the old pork chops in mushroom soup everyone used to love. I made a few alterations. I brined the pork chops before cooking. I replaced the whipping cream with evaporated milk to reduce the fat and calories. I used less bacon than called for and think next time I would leave it out. I cooked them for 25 minutes and would cut that back to about 20 next time since we like our pork with a tiny bit of pink. The chops were moist and tender and the topping was really delicious. The "gravy" was great with mashed potatoes. This one is definitely a keeper!

Opps. Forgot to write anything the last time. I've been on this site less than a year and have gained a dress size. Well worth it when the food is as good as this was. Excellent pork chops. There are only two of us so I used 2 HUGE chops but did the full recipe of sauce. I covered the chops in the oven for 10 minutes and uncovered for another 20. Wonderful! I made the extra sauce as I knew I'd love it. Served as written but added a tbsp of brandy after the fact and will serve it over a steak later in the week. Thank you for a lovely recipe!
