Awesome sauce. I've been looking for a recipe like this for a long time. I added about 1 pound of frozen ground beef. It was great. I will diffently make this again.

    Oh now, this is terrific! I will be using your recipe for a lot of different meals! I cut the recipe in 1/2 and didn't have tomato sauce, so I used the full can of paste and added a cup of water. It's still simmering, but I had to take a taste and it's perfect! I'm making baked spaghetti with it tomorrow and will save the rest for another meal at the end of the week. Thanks!

    If my stomach could smile (and maybe it can, who knows?) it would be smiling after eating this delicious meal. This sauce has a delicious fresh taste. I only had time to simmer in the crockpot for 4 hours, but it is still utterly scrumptious. (Probably just a little runnier than it would've been otherwise.) I added a chopped green and red pepper, and twice as much garlic. I also made some homemade meatballs (easy - 1 lb ground beef with 1/4 of an onion chopped, 1 garlic clove, minced, a bit of basil and oregano, 1 egg, salt and pepper and a handful of rolled oats.) which I sauted first and then added to the simmering sauce. They were delicious - tender and flavorful thanks to this sauce. Try this one for supper tonight! You'll love it. Thanks to NurseDi for a fantastic recipe I'll be making often.

    YUMMY!!! This was great and the next batch I make, I think I'll add some stuff, green peppers, mushrooms etc. But the basic sauce was fantastic. Hubby, who is very very fussy when it comes to spaghetti sauce loved it too. We've had it twice since I made it last Wednesday and I was able to freeze a total of 4 meals. Love this recipe! Thanks!!
