Simple Shortbread Cookies

Something so simple yet so necessary to daily life. Wonderful dunked in a cup of milky coffee or tea.
SERVES 24
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 lb butter (DO NOT use margarine)
Directions
1
Cream butter and sugar.2
Add flour, mix well.3
Roll out and cut into desired shapes, place on parchment paper.4
Bake at 350°F until pale golden.

These are simply amazing! I had a craving for shortbread cookies and wanted some in a hurry and this recipe was the answer. They are so delicious, fast and easy to make. This has immediately found a spot in my list of all-time favorite recipes.

I just used this recipe in a primary school cooking class. It was a smashing success. If you have a problem with it being too dry (which can happen after rolling out a few times) just add a tiny bit of water and it'll be the perfect consistency. Thanks for a super simple, delecable cookie recipe!

these cookies are amazing!!!! its amazing how much of a difference powdered sugar makes to granulated. They just melted in my mouth, and theyre so easy!
