I found this recipe to be only marginal. The flavor was okay but I felt a little let down by the high reviews. I guess not everything is everyone's taste. It wasn't very appetizing from a visual aspect which made it hard for my family to get interested. The beef was tender which made my family at least try it. I certainly wouldn't say don't make it but really look at the ingredients and think about your family's taste perferences first. I would like to say thank you for sharing a recipe with the community here at Recipezaar. I appreceiated the opportunity to try it but wouldn't make it again.

This is absolutely delicious and couldn't be any simpler! I'll definitely be making this often. I love the sherry flavor and the fact that you just throw it together and let it slow cook to a perfect tenderness. Yum!

This is a terrific recipe! My sister calls it "Easy Beef Stew". I've made it a bunch of times and have used 1 can beef broth instead of two cans of cream of mushroom soup and added 2 tablespoons of tomato paste to give the sauce a deeper flavor and color. This is worth trying!

This was excellent! I added a tin of beef consomme in lieu of one of the tins of soup.In stead of adding cornstarch, I coated the beef cubes with flour and browned in a frying pan with a little oil before putting them in the pot. This resulted in lovely thick, rich, flavourful stew. Thanks for a wonderful recipe that my husband says is better than his mom's Beef Burgundy.
