Sheila's Best Balsamic Dressing

This is the best dressing ever. My mom got the recipe somewhere, and then adjusted it a bit, so she gets credit for it. Quick and delicious. The better quality the vinegars the better the dressing. I like to use a latte frother to mix the dressing. If you use the garlic make sure it is very fresh or it gets a little bitter in the dressing, it is optional. Enjoy!!

SERVES 4 , 1/2 cup (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Mix all ingredients EXCEPT oil together.
  2. 2
Add oil to mixture and mix well with whisk or late frother.

Use this dressing 5 out of 7 days a week. It is fantastic! The only change I made, simply because I did not have the red wine vinegar on hand, was to use apple vinegar in its place. I liked it so much I've just continued to use the apple vinegar. Great dressing with a sharp bite and great depth of flavor!

Wow, the perfect blend of sweet and sour. I used a stick blender and threw everything into a large 2 cup measuring cup, doubled the recipe, and blended it until smooth. Wonderful, the garlic really makes it. Add a little italian seasoning for an added flavor, 1/2 tsp, or 1 tsp for double recipe.

LOVE this dressing! Instead of using dijon I used hot mustard so it had a kick to it. I think I added an extra clove of garlic, too! Thanks for sharing!
