I've been looking for ways to incorporate more coconut oil in my diet, and this recipe is perfect! I had previously made it with olive oil and it was okay, but the coconut oil made it totally FABULOUS. I used 1 TBSP of sesame oil, 3 cups of cabbage, and added the chicken and bean sprouts. I also used vermicelli instead of angel hair pasta. Even the kids liked it! This is one of our new favorites. Thanks so much for sharing! By the way, be sure to use FERMENTED soy sauce for the best health benefits.

Add another fan to your list! Wonderful dish; easy to make and lots of variations open to it. After reading other reviews; I made ours with 3 cups cabbage and omitted the regular oil and used 2 Tbls or sesame oil. Ran out of soy sauce with earlier recipe so substituted teriyaki and added a dash of salt to cut the sweetness. Also added 3 Tbls. oyster sauce. Could see adding mushrooms, fried eggs, water chestnuts.. great recipe; thanks papergoddess for sharing!

For those who find this flavorless.... I've made it MANY times since my first try and have found this great combination: 5tbs soy sauce and 2tbs oyster sauce. If you want to add 1/2tbs of hoisen sauce it tastes great...but this can start to get a little creamy if you're not carefuly. I also use twice as much cabbage (I like the texture it provides) and half as much oil - as I feel it's uncessary fat. This has become a FAVORITE IN OUR HOUSEHOLD!

I used glass noodles, and fish sauce instead, but the dish turned out great. Very easy too.
