Seasoned Grilled Asparagus

Recipe #236734 | 7 min | 3 min prep | add private note

Grilling asparagus really brings out a terrific flavor. Easy too, just add to the grill as you're cooking the meat. The seasoning is just a guideline, use whatever herb or seasoning you like. We've used basil, oregeno, etc.

SERVES 3 -4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Remove woody ends from asparagus and discard.
  2. 2
Place asparagus in large ziploc bag. Pour in oil and sprinkle seasoning.
  3. 3
Close bag forcing out air. Rub asparagus through bag to evenly distribute seasonings.
  4. 4
Grill to your taste. We use a pan for the grill that has holes in it. Often serve with grilled shrimp since it can all be placed in the same pan. Delicious.

Outstanding! I didn't have the seasoned salt, so used a bit of Mrs. Dash Spicy. Turned out really good. Served with Steak Flambe Moutarde and Pommes De Terre a L'etouffee (Pan Fried Potatoes) for a delicious meal. Thanks Vicki for another great keeper. Made for ZWT5 2009 Family Picks.

Vicki in CT, What a GREAT springboard to the imagination! We LOVED the asparagus. I used fresh basil, oregano, rosemary and garlic in my marinade. Since you did not say how long to marinade, I let the sit for an hour and then grilled. WOW the flavor was awesome. I think next time I'll add some balsamic vinegar to the marinade to cut the oil a little. Thanks this will go in my keeper file.
