I substituted seafood broth for the water and vegetable broth - and used lemon pepper, dill weed and Old Bay instead of the mixed pepper seasoning. Delicious!

All I can say is WOW!!! My husband raved about this, and that's what counts the most. I changed the 2 small potatoes to a large sweet potato, and it was delicious.

Wonderful chowder! I used a mix of shrimp and bay scallops. For the whipping cream, I used 2 cups of whipping cream and 2 cups of milk. I saved some fat, but still had a rich and tasty chowder. I'll definitely make this again. Thanx for posting it!

This is the one!!! It is sooo good. i made it for my husband for Valentine's Day. We both like to get seafood chowder when we go out to eat and this one tastes just like it. I used fresh bay scallops, shrimp, and crabmeat. I also used all whipping cream like it calls for. For the pepper seasoning , I used lemon pepper. Delicious!!!
