Simple cous cous perfect for side dish.

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
    Heat butter in sauce pan (which has a lid).
  2. 2
    Add chopped onions, stir and allow to cook until soft.
  3. 3
    Stir in crushed garlic.
  4. 4
    Add couscous, stir.
  5. 5
    Add chicken stock, stir and bring to boil.
  6. 6
    Remove off heat, cover and allow to stand for 5 minutes.
  7. 7
    Stir in coriander or parsley.
  8. 8
    Add salt and pepper to taste.
  9. 9
    Serve as a side dish.

    Quick, simple, and REALLY tasty! I substituted fresh dill and sauted it with the onions and garlic before adding the couscous and stock. This is a keeper.

    I forgot to rate this, I had this with shrimp and the meal was very good. Even better the next day,This was my first experience with couscous, hubby thought it was really good. Thanks we will be having it again.
