    In a large skillet, bring 1 cup water, oil, salt, and pepper to a simmer over medium heat.

    Add the green beans and onion.
  3. 3
    Cover, and cook until the beans are crisp-tender, 8 to 10 minutes.

    Uncover, and continue cooking, stirring frequently, until water has evaporated, beans are tender, and onions are beginning to brown, 5 to 8 minutes more.

    Stir in vinegar and serve.

Quick, easy, and convent for busy work nights. Used frozen cut beans as that was what I had in the freezer which did cut the cooking time by about 5 minutes.

    Enjoyed this very much. The red onion went well with the beans and the vinegar just finished it off nicely. I used frozen beans.

    This is quite good. Easy to prepare. I used less than a pound of green beans. It's a good combination. Thanks for a great recipe.
