Sauce for a Stir-Fry

Recipe #247127 | 20 min | 5 min prep | add private note

A number of years ago when our town used to hold a Farmers' Market they were giving out samples of veggies stirfried in this sauce and passed out the recipe to those that requested it. Very simple to make and tastes great in basically any type of stirfry...pork, chicken, shrimp or beef.

1 cup (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Empty all ingredients in a mason jar and shake.
  2. 2
If making just a veggie stirfry add sauce approximately 2 minutes before ready to serve.
  3. 3
If adding meat or seafood, stir fry it first and then remove and set aside.
  4. 4
When veggies are tender crisp, add sauce and meat or seafood and stir.
  5. 5
    Serve over rice.

We don't have "envelope mixes" where we live and so I gave this a shot and it was just perfect. I used snow peas, mushrooms, broccoli and chicken... served over rice. A real hit in our house! Made for Zaar Chef Alphabet Soup.

Awesome! Used with chicken, shrimp, veggie stir fry AND I had some baby spinich that I needed to cook, so I held some sauce back for it and it was WONDERFUL too! Love it! T =o)

I'm just going through my cookbooks and must apologize for the late late review. We tried this shortly after you posted it and loved it. We also used full chicken broth instead of the bouillon and water and love this. I hid this recipe from my BF for a while so his stir-fry couldn't be better then mine. hehe thanks for posting Nova. Edit: I add 1 tsp red pepper flakes and 1 tbsp sesame oil. This is also good using beef broth
