If you like Plum Wine, you will love this drink. Make ahead of time and chill well. Now you are ready to pour once your guests arrive. Prep time does not include chilling time.

SERVES 6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Mix equal parts of Sake' and Plum Wine.
  2. 2
(I usually mix both bottles in a large pitcher, then refill the Sake' bottle and Plum Wine bottle. Recap the bottles and chill well before serving).
  3. 3
Now you are all ready for when guests arrive.
  4. 4
Serve in your prettiest Martini glasses.

Wow- i love cold sake and i wanted to try this-- i shook the sake/plum wine over ice — very well so that the ice began to chip into the mixture- then I poured this into a chilled martini glass- YUM!! Thanks so much for this awesome cocktail.

I found this recipe yesterday and wanted to try it immediately. SO..... no time to "Make ahead of time and chill well" so I filled a chilled glass with ice, poured 2 oz of Sake and 2 oz of Plum Wine over the ice. I squeezed a slice of lime into the glass and OH MY GOSH!! This was fabulous! I also made a batch to chill and try as a Martini tonight which I'm sure will be fabulous as well! Over ice with lime it is a really refreshing summer drink that I NEVER could have come up with on my own! UPDATE: I did try these as directed and although they are different, they are REALLY YUMMY!

Oh lord. WATCH OUT! Our local Japanese restaurant serves these and calls them "Sayonara's". FOR A REASON! They rim the glasses with sugar and put a maraschino cherry in it as well. I'm not usually a huge alcohol drinker, but these go down SMOOTH. 4 or 5 of these and it's LIGHTS OUT. Take my word for it.

This is sooooo good! I served it with my chinese-themed dinner and it went so well with it. Really good!
