One word.. "Superb" I let the syrup mix reduce to half its size and let it cool, got a wee bit nervous when it was a alightly thick syrup, however had fingers crossed that the vodka would sort that, I had to whisk in the vodka and vanilla for about 5-10 mins, then poured it into a wine bottle. Absolutley delish it was such a shame that there was a little bit left over that wouldnt fit in the bottle. Riff Raff, Well done and thanks for sharing

Riff Raff I want you to know that I loved this recipe! I followed the ingredient proportions exactly, except maybe I used a little less sugar and a little more vodka. I let the syrupy mixture simmer for at least 3-3.5 hours. I let it cool overnight on the stove and then added the vanilla and vodka in the morning. After work this day I couldn't wait to get home and try it. I used a cocktail size glass, filled it with ice, poured kahlua half-way, and topped it with half and half milk. Decadent!! I will be on the look-out for pretty glass bottles to fill and give for Christmas gifts! Thanks.

Delicious drink. Followed the recipe exactly. I had to keep a close eye on it near the end of cooking as it got very syrupy and tried to boil over. Definitely will make this again.

Thank you,Thank you, this is the real deal here!!I followed the recipe precisely except I doubled it and it gave me 3 1/2 fifths of the lovely concoction.I will never buy the expensive stuff again, and this will make wonderful Christmas gifts. Now I'm off to find a amaretto recipe.
