Fabulous! I needed it for Lennie's "Crock Pot Apricot Chicken" (#18643) and made very minor changes other than halving. Did not cook, instead used all honey with just eyeballing amt., cautious w/water, omitted celery seed, 1 tsp. dried onion (the only ingredient that made me nervous, and although it turned out great - do not recommend...did not disperse. YUMMY!

Very good. Nice flavor. I made a half of a recipe using: agave nectar in place of the sugar, 2 T. of lemon juice, 1/2 T. apple cider vinegar, and 1/2 T. balsamic vinegar. I also omitted the celery seed (didn't have any), and used 1 tsp. onion powder. Then, I added a bit of extra water, probably 1/4 c. total, just to thin it out some. I did not cook this, just whisked all in the measuring cup! Thanks!

I really needed some Russian Dressing for another recipe (crockpot rib type) and it is no longer available around here. Ever since I tagged this I've been hearing either Elmer Fudd or Tweety talking about "wich wed Wussian Dwessing" in a commercial from the early 60's! At any rate, this is as close as anyone could come to what I remember as Russian Dressing. I did cheat a bit and used honey, halved the water, and didn't bother to cook since it was already pretty thick and it turned out fine. The mayo based versions just don't seem right. Thanks for posting this easy recipe.

This is definitely the REAL THING!! I used sugar & onion powder and, aside from scaling the recipe in half, I didn't waiver from the recipe. Thanx btcats!
