Our Official 2006 4th of July BBQ Cocktail. My sweet tooth house guest found it a bit too tart and added a touch of maraschino cherry juice which also gave the mixture a slight rosy glow. I had a tough time finding orgeat syrup, but finally found Trader Vic brand at a large liquor store. We added paper umbrellas and skewers of pineapple, cherry and fresh mint. Quite a winning tropical contribution to our celebration, Bev!

This is a wonderful drink. CLASSIC! By the Way...You can find almond syrup in the coffee section of the grocery store most of the time.
