This recipe is adapted from Betty Crocker's Quick & Easy Cookbook.

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Heat oven to 375 degrees.

    Brush both sides of bread slices with oil.
  3. 3
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  4. 4
    Bake about 5 minutes or until crisp.
  5. 5
    Cool 5 minutes.
  6. 6
    Meanwhile, cut each tomato into 6 slices; set aside.
  7. 7
    Spread cream cheese over each bread slice.
  8. 8
    Top with beef; sprinkle with pepper.
  9. 9
    Top with tomato slices and onion.

Great appetizer. I made it for a pot luck and it was loved by everyone. I used half roast beef and half roasted turkey, just in case someone didnt like beef. I liked the roast beef better, but both were gone. Very good! Thanks!

    delicious. Used freshly sliced rare roast beef from the local store who cooks it on the spit and low fat cream cheese adding chives and onion powder to it
