Underarm stains can be difficult to remove completely. Soak as soon as you remove clothing.

    first treatment Fresh stains can be treated with a solution of ammonia and water then rinse.
  2. 2
    second treatment Dab with white vinegar solution l/3 teaspoons vinegar to 1/2 pint water, and leave for 5 minutes then soak in detergent and wash in the normal manner.

Worked pretty well on some old yellow perspiration stained T-shirts!

    Wearing black doesn't help. I went looking for this because my hubby has anti-perspirant stains on his black work shirt. Hoping this will work on black too. Will report back.

    EWWWW! Not the recipe, of course, but the necessity to use it! This did a pretty good job of getting some gross yellow stains out of my husband's dress shirts. Personally, I think he should start wearing all black. Thanks Rita!
