You can serve this with nearly anything, it is great with meat, especially turkey. This is my grandma's invention

SERVES 10 -12 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

    have frypan on lowest heat.

    add olive oil and butter, don't stir.
  3. 3
    all onions in at once nicely.
  4. 4
    after 10 minutes pour over the balsmic vinegar and brown sugar, don't stir you can shake.

    after 5-10 minutes, get tongs, turn everything over.
  6. 6
    can put lid on, leave about 45 minutes-1 hour.

    cool.
  8. 8
    then transfer to bowl.
  9. 9
    serve or keeps well in the fridge.
