Red Lobster Garlic Cheese Biscuits

Recipe #102914 | 26 min | 12 min prep | add private note

This is my version of Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay Biscuits. I think they have more flavor than the restaurant's. I won a recipe contest in our local newspaper with these biscuits. Everyone who tries them ALWAYS ask for the recipe.

Very Tasty! My were a little dry. I think I should make them a little larger and reduce cooking time just a bit. These were definitely better than Red Lobster's! The recipe was surprising easy and quicker than most bread or roll recipes. I will be making these again!! Thanks!

I've never had Red Lobster's biscuits but these were wonderful. They didn't rise much, but they were surprisingly light and airy. The cheese gives it a nice crunch. They were very quick and easy to make, although the batter was very sticky. I didn't have self-rising flour, so I added 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. baking powder, and 1/2 tsp. salt. I used cold butter instead of the Crisco and brushed the tops with a little olive oil. Thanks for the recipe!!!

I love Red Lobster's garlic biscuits, but I think I like these even better! The cayenne pepper adds such a nice bite to the biscuits and the texture is perfect! I followed the recipe exactly, and they turned out great. Thanks!

These were absolutely amazing. I did make a few changes. I didn't have self-rising flour so I substituted 2 cups flour + 1 tsp salt + 3 tsps baking powder. I don't have garlic salt either so I minced 3 cloves (I love garlic) and put in another half tsp salt. All in all, they were/are brilliant and I will make them thousands of times. LITERALLY.
