Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits Copycat

These are copycats of the delicious "Cheddar Bay Biscuits" served at Red Lobster.

SERVES 8 , 15 biscuits (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Heat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. 2
    Mix bisquick, milk and cheese until a soft dough forms.
  3. 3
    Drop by spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  4. 4
    Bake 6-8 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. 5
    Mix butter or margarine and garlic powder.
  6. 6
    Brush mixture over warm biscuits before removing from cookie sheet.

    These were sure easy to put together, took no time at all and the end result was a tasty, light biscuit that I served with a creamy clam chowder. My only problem was they did stick badly to my ungreased cookie sheet (it was a non-stick) and tore them apart. Next time I'll use parchment paper and I'm sure that should take care of my problem.

    This recipe was impressive! I wound up with 9 biscuits, but I think that next time I'll make the biscuits just a bit smaller. I think I'll even up the cheese by a small amount. Word to the wise if you're planning to make these: the biscuits absolutely soak up the butter, so really slop it on! They'll still be nice and firm on the outside. Thanks for sharing this recipe; I'll be making it often!

    I've been using this recipe for some time now and just realized I'd never reviewed it. OOPS. Me & DH simply ADORE these. They are yummy beyond belief. I use Homemade Bisquick Mix for the bisquick.
