A very easy and simple Lasagna. I found the recipe in Womans Day.

SERVES 4 -6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 1 (26 ounce) jar pasta sauce with mushrooms

  • 2 (13 ounce) bags square cheese ravioli, thawed
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Italian cheese blend

Directions

  1. 1
    Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. 2
Coat a 9-inch square baking dish and a sheet of foil with non-stick spray.
  3. 3
Put pasta sauce in bowl; stir in 1/2 cup water.
  4. 4
Spread 1 cup sauce in dish.
  5. 5
Top with 20 ravioli, flat sides up and just touching each other.
  6. 6
Spread with 3/4 cup sauce; sprinkle with 1/2 cup cheese.
  7. 7
    REPEAT layers once.
  8. 8
Top with remaining ravioli, sauce and cheese.
  9. 9
(you should have 3 layers) Cover tightly with foil sprayed side down or use Release foil.
  10. 10
Bake on a sheet of foil (to catch any drips) 1 hour or until bubbly around edges.
  11. 11
Uncover and bake 5 minutes until cheese is barely golden.
  12. 12
To Freeze: Place in rigid container and freeze.
  13. 13
To Heat: Microwave on medium power until heated through.
  14. 14
Note: More sauce maybe needed when reheating.

This turned out to be very tasty. I added browned ground turkey to the sauce (I still added water). I bought a 25 oz bag of ravioli so was unable to do 20 raviolis on each layer but it turned out great. Even my picky eater loved it!

This was very easy when you need to put something together quick. I used homemade sauce which I had in the freezer because sometimes jarred is too salty. Thanks this was great!

My family loved this one and my 5 y/o cleaned his plate. I used meat flavored sauce, used the Italian blend cheese for the bottom layers but topped it off with plain mozzarella and sprinkled some Italian seasoning to the top. Next time, I may brown some ground beef and add that to the sauce, as well as some canned, diced tomatoes. I served this with fresh broccoli, salad and garlic bread. This easy recipe worked out well for our busy weeknight dinner. Thank you, Barb!

Easy to prepare this was very good and quick. I used Four Cheese canned sauce. I think it turned out a little bland - next time I'll used a flavored sauce - like the sausage and green pepper and will consider adding fresh garlic and maybe some Italian blend seasonings to give it some pep. Served with Garlic texas toast and marinated Italian cucumbers - this is a winner!
