my mom and aunts started making this when i was in high school in the seventies. i hadn't made one in years so had to search for a recipe since i wasn't sure if the jello was made according to the package directions...
i love this cake. it's always a hit

We were snowed in so we made this. I followed the recipe exactly as written other then I used sugar free jello and sugar free cool whip as that is what I buy. We really enjoyed this. Next time I would put more poke holes in.

Made this for my daughter's birthday and it was a hit. Topped it with Paige's Buttercream Frosting Paige's Buttercream Frosting. Thanks for sharing.

Great recipe, I used strawberry jello and my DS's have been eager to finish their supper in order to have this for a dessert.
