Raspberry Poke Cake

Fast and simple. And the kids love it. Use any kind of jello you like.

SERVES 36 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Bake cake in a 9x13 pan.
  2. 2
    Cool for 15 minutes in pan; then poke with fork at 1/2" intervals.
  3. 3
    Make sure you poke all the way down.
  4. 4
    Dissolve jello in boiling water.
  5. 5
    Add cold water and spoon over cake.
  6. 6
    Chill 3-4 hours.
  7. 7
    Top with whipping cream.

my mom and aunts started making this when i was in high school in the seventies. i hadn't made one in years so had to search for a recipe since i wasn't sure if the jello was made according to the package directions... i love this cake. it's always a hit

    We were snowed in so we made this. I followed the recipe exactly as written other then I used sugar free jello and sugar free cool whip as that is what I buy. We really enjoyed this. Next time I would put more poke holes in.

    Made this for my daughter's birthday and it was a hit. Topped it with Paige's Buttercream Frosting Paige's Buttercream Frosting. Thanks for sharing.
