This was one of my favorite things that my mom made for us kids. When I started making them, I could not make them fast enough for my 4 brothers They just loved them. Very cheap and easy to make too.

My mother made these for my siblings and I when I was little. Now I make them for my teenagers and have made them for as long as I can remember. Their friends always wanted me to make doughnuts when they came over to spend the night. The trick is to not let your oil get too hot. This will keep them light golden brown and allows them to plump up. We put out all different types of frosting and sprinkles. I have also used a pastry bag and tip to fill them with jelly and frosting. You cannot beat these for a special treat for your kids.

Very good! Came out a little doughy in the middle even though the outside was a dark brown. I took another reviewer's suggestion and cut biscuits into fourths (half was too big). I let them cool after frying then tossed into a brown paper bag with powdered sugar, PERFECT! Thanks AWW!!

The kids (and hubby!) just love these, and they're so easy to make! We fry in oil and butter and sometimes vary the taste by sprinkling with powdered sugar and cinnamon, or dipping them in a glaze of powdered sugar, vanilla and water mixed together. This does bring back memories... of the kids when they were younger and would have sleep-overs. This was almost always the sleep-over breakfast.

These are so good and easy! I tear the biscuit in half and make doughnut holes in my frydaddy instead of regular doughnuts. Also, I like a variety of toppings and use powdered sugar, cinnamon and sugar, and a glaze of powdered sugar and water! Yummy!
