Our family likes these breadsticks because they are soft and chewy. I like to make them when I am in a hurry because they rise quickly.

My son and husband loved these. Now that I am looking back at the recipe, I believe I forgot to add the brown sugar! I was wondering why it took so long to get the bread sticks to brown. After about 20 minutes, I brushed them with a mixture of melted butter, lots of garlic powder, parmesan cheese and lots of salt. I was pleasantly surprised at how easily the dough rolled out.

These were okay, but not exactly what I was looking for. They tasted a little too bland and a bit crusty. But they were okay.

These are FABULOUS!!! I followed the directions exactly ... when they came out of the oven, I brushed them all with melted garlic butter ,and on half of them, I sprinkled parmesan cheese on them. MM!!!!! I ate, like 5, of them right out of the oven! LOL I rolled out my regtangle and marked off where to cut them , I only got 15 breadsticks, but what I did was after cutting them from top to bottom , I cut them across the middle , giving me a double batch of actually, regular size breadsticks. A PIZZA cutter works WONDERFUL for cutting this dough! Thanks so much for posting this recipe!! I have a feeling I'll be baking a LOT of breadsticks!

THANK YOU! Finally a great bread recipe that doesn't take all day long and tastes soooo delicious! I do enjoy different bread recipes but I simply don't have the time to spend on them. My family MUST have bread every night with dinner so this solves that problem. I brush with butter and then sprinkle italian seasonings and/or parmasan cheese or garlic and parsley. All are very good. My only regret is that I didn't find this sooner.
