I made this recipe for the first time tonight, and it was great! It was so good, that I actually took the time to review it! The only changes I did was I used real rice, not minute rice, added more eggs, and more veggies. Definetely recommend!

As BigRedChef said - great base recipe. Up the onions if they are mild. I had some leftover organic brown rice and all the ingredients (I topped it with diced tomato) to throw together a meal for my toddler. To my delight he took bite after bite exclaiming "more! more!" This is how fried rice should be - super easy, few ingredients, no headache.

This is so simple and so satisfying. You would think it would taste a bit dull, with so few ingredients, but the flavor of sauteed onions is so rich, it tastes really good. (I love sauteed onions). A Chinese-American former roommate taught me this recipe. She was eating it and it smelled so good I asked her to show me how to make it. The only difference is that she taught me to take the egg out of the pan as soon as it is cooked so it doesn't burn, cut it into pieces, and add it back in to heat it just at the end of cooking. I always use leftover rice and more onion, and I add sriracha chili sauce as I eat it. A big bowl of this hits the spot when you are tired, cold, and hungry, or if you are short on cash or haven't shopped in a while.

This was good and easy to make. I followed the recipe as written but next time I would also add peas and carrots. This was my first time making fried rice and my family was impressed. They did notice it didn't have the veggies though.
