This was great. I stuck to the classic and used bacon instead of of ham but other then that this was perfect.

This was my first attempt at a quiche and it turned out not only delicious but beautiful as well! I followed the recipe closely and used diced ham steak and gruyere cheese. I should have let it cook a bit longer, but I got nervous over how brown it was getting and took it out at about 39 minutes. Was perhaps a bit softer than what it should have been but still very good and by the time it set for half an hour, the texture was more firm. Next time I'll simply lay a piece of aluminum foil over the top for the last 20 minutes or so to try and control the browning while still giving it the full 40-45 minutes to cook. So glad to have this in my recipe file now; thanks for posting!

Hi LinMarie! This is a winner! Easy to prepare and so tasty. I used the cayenne pepper and grated Gruyere cheese. Can't wait to make it again. Thank you so much for sharing.
