"Put Down Your Fork!" Tuna and Bean Salad

Recipe #108804 | 2 hours | 2 hours prep | add private note

The story behind this comes from a simple recipe I had found, then made changes to make our own. My husband loved it so much the first time I made it I literally had to say to him "Put down your fork or you'll explode". So from that point on we have called it by this name. The ingredients may seem bland, but combined together they taste great and present well. Enjoy.

This was pretty good. I didn't have canned beans, so I used some dry ones that I boiled until they were soft. Thanks for the recipe, it is a nice change for tuna salad.

This was excellent and healthy too. I have never heard of white kidney beans so I used 1 can of great northern beans and 1 can of garbanzo beans (I doubled the recipe)and I used olive oil and a red pepper. I did not use the lettuce though. This recipe was nice and light. Not too filling. Just right. This is a definite keeper. Thank you.
