These are fine if this is all you have on hand but definitely worth using a standard recipe if you want something really tasty.

So good and simple to make! I used carrot cake mix, added in 2 shredded carrots (because who wants carrot flavored pieces when you can have real carrot!) and a tablespoon of pumpkin pie spice.

I was really skeptical about this recipe but had to try it and the muffins are wonderful! My additions to the basic recipe (with yellow cake mix) were: 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice and 1/2 cup golden raisins, which I moistened with orange juice and heated in the microwave until juice was absorbed and raisins were nice and plump. I love these and will definitely make them often for friends and family.

I thought they were very good. I just added 2 tsps. of pumpkin pie spice to pick it up a little.
