Posted this recipe by request. Dogs love these dog treats! I can't remember how many treats this recipe makes, so I just guessed.

20 treats (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. 2
Blend eggs and pumpkin together; add salt, dry milk, and flour.
  3. 3
Add water as needed to make the dough somewhat workable.
  4. 4
The dough should be dry and stiff, don't be concerned with crumbs being left in the bowl.
  5. 5
You will need to mix this with your hands because it is too stiff for an electric mixer.
  6. 6
    Roll to 1/2-inch thick.
  7. 7
    Cut into shapes.
  8. 8
Place 1" apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  9. 9
Bake for 20 minutes on one side, then turn over and bake another 20 minutes.

Fantastic! My doggies come hunt me down and start barking and begging for these biscuits. I have never seen them act like they do about these biscuits. I increased the recipe to use a full 15 oz can of pumpkin. You can always refrigerator or freeze dough for later use. If you have a stand mixer use it with the dough hook once you've added enough flour to make it difficult with the paddle.

I just finished making these today. I was planning on giving these as Christmas gifts but my own dog is obsessed with them. She was right by my side the whole time I was making these in the kitchen. As soon as they were cool I gave her one to "test." It was all over from that moment. She has now eaten 4 and keeps begging for more. I made these into little Christmas trees so they're nice and festive. I did have such a hard time mixing this since its so thick, but my dog thinks it was well worth it. I'll be making more of these treats asap. Thanks for posting!

Woof woof woof woof woof means 5 stars from my furkids! These were so easy to make! I used whole wheat flour and chicken broth instead of water, only because I had it on hand. These biscuts will become a regular treat for my dogs! Thanks for posting!

This recipe deserves 5 stars for the use of the healthy ingredients listed. I used WHEAT FLOUR in this recipe instead of white flour. (WHITE FLOUR is very UNHEALTHY for you pet)and should never be used in any pet recipe. I commend Kim for making a note that wheat flour is probably better. My vet agreed this is a good recipe.
