Pork Chop Potato Bake

Easy fast casserole for all to enjoy

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 4 ribs or shoulder pork chops
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced (2 lb)

  • 1 (11 ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup, undiluted

Directions

  1. 1
    Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. 2
    Wipe pork with damp paper towls.
  3. 3
    Trim off extra fat.
  4. 4
    Heat fat in medium skillet.
  5. 5
    In hot fat, brown chops well on both sides, sprinkling with salt and pepper.

    Drain well on paper towels Place pork chops in a 2 qt shallow casserole.
  7. 7
    Arrange onion slices, then potato slices, over top.
  8. 8
    Spoon cheese soup over all Bake covered, 1 hour or until meat and potato are tender.

    This was so easy to put together and so tasty. I was making it for company and one of them is can't have cheese, so, I substituted cream of mushroom soup with a little water added and then the rest of us sprinkled shredded cheddar cheese on top. Very tasty! Will definitely be making this one again. Thanks for posting!
