This is from Family Fun's website. I make it and put it in a pan to set and cut up as bars. Prep. time is an estimate, including popping popcorn.

SERVES 30 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Combine the brown sugar, butter and corn syrup in a medium saucepan.
  2. 2
Cook on high for 5 minutes.
  3. 3
Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the baking soda.
  4. 4
Thoroughly combine the popcorn and marshmallows in a large metal bowl. (Do NOT use a plastic bowl).
  5. 5
Drizzle the sugar mixture over the popcorn to coat it.
  6. 6
Gently stir in the graham crackers and chocolate chips, incorporating them evenly throughout the mixture.
  7. 7
Let the mixture set until cool enough to handle, then, using buttered plastic sandwich bags on your hands, form the mixture into golf-ball-size balls.
  8. 8
    Store in airtight container.
  9. 9
NOTE: Do NOT use air-popped popcorn. It will melt when combined with the hot sugar mixture.

Made this to take to the races with us this weekend and all the kids enjoyed it. I followed the recipe exactly as written. This was easy to make.

This recipe makes delectible squares, and oh so easy to prepare. I didn't have the small marshmallows so I cut half a 400g bag of the regular size marshmallows into quarters which worked well. I used miniture chocolate chips because that was what I had on hand and they were quite melty which created a bit of a swirled effect. Tasty!

Can't believe nobody tried these before!!! They are sooooooo good!! I love popcorn - and these are just over the top good! Sweet and salty at the same time - I am in heaven!! I followed your suggestion and put them in a pan to set. I also used graham crackers that I crumbled a bit. Thanks WI - these are really tasty!!!
