Polar Bear (Shot)

Recipe #334809 | 2 min | 2 min prep | add private note

By: yamakarasu
Nov 3, 2008

The Polar Bear is one of my favourite shots... like a peppermint patty, smooth and refreshing. I had no idea it was so simple to make until my friend put it together during one of our Group Naps. What is a GN? Well, to have a very successful Group Nap, all you need are your best friends, many plush blankets all around you in preferably a variety of colours and textures, lots of chocolate and candy and a few Polar Bear shots. Turn on some Mr. Bean or Family Guy, sip or throw back some Polar Bears, indulge in some chocolates and have the best nap you've ever had. Life does not get much better than that!

SERVES 1 , 1 drink (change servings and units)

Pour ingredients in a shaker with ice.
  2. 2
Shake and serve in the prettiest shot glass you can find.

W*O*W - I don't know if I could drink this very often but it sure tasted good the first time. I had a couple of Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies that I ate along with this Shot. The Polar Bear sure beats a glass of milk! Made & enjoyed for PAC, Spring 2009

Yow-zah! That is one serious cocktail shot, or one heck of an after-dinner mint in liquid form. Very minty, and very tasty. I could get used to having one of these every night! I really did enjoy the Polar Bear Shot, and would like to share this recipe with others. Thanks for sharing, yamakarasu. Made for the 2009 Spring Pick-A-Chef event.

Minty, minty, minty and tastes like a breath of arctic air. I agree, make sure to follow it with a chaser of a hanful of chocolate. Thank you Yamakarasu. I'll be making this one again and maybe next time I can get someone to take a nap with me.
