My family and I enjoyed this. Reduced the amount of ground beef to 1/2 lb. Added in some sliced pepperoni (cut up). Omitted the green pepper. I baked this for 30 minutes and it wasn't doughy at all, even in the center. Thanks for sharing!

OK, I guess I'll be the first one to rain on this happy parade by saying I was not very impressed with this recipe, mainly because the bottom/crust was very doughy. I followed the recipe exactly, except for replacing the ground beef with cooked Italian sausage and cooking the vegetables before hand. I may try this again, perhaps with breadstick dough instead of biscuit dough on the bottom. I guess it just didn't turn out like I had expected.

I've made this 3 times and I can't believe I haven't reviewed it. In a nutshell, this recipe is AWESOME! It gets snarfed down before my eyes. I'm starting to wonder if I should make two pans to meet the demands. You should hear the moans of disappointment when the pan is empty. I first thought that this would be a ho-hum recipe based on the ingredients but was I proved wrong. I've never heard of this recipe but my BF says that he's had it before many times. Leave it to the Zaar nation to have just about anything you are looking for. EXCELLENT, inexpensive, fairly quick to prepare as these ingred's are usually on hand in most homes. Thank you tons for this great post

Yummy! I was short on time when I made this but I managed to make everything, layer and place in the refrigerator so I could bake it when I came back. I added some shrooms to this and it was great! Thanks for posting such an easy recipe.
